HyperSonic is an arcade flight action game developed by GameCrafterTeam and released in May 2008 online for free.  You can still get it here.

Story

The story of HyperSonic take place in 2015 when the Concordius Empire invade countries on the western region of the Gaea continent (refered as "Western Gaea Colition" or WGC). Due to the overwhelming power of Empire's airforce and unprepareness of WGC countries, most of WGC member nation fall under the Empire control very quickly.

Since the world's superpower located in the opposite side of the planet, the Federation of North Corentha is allied with WGC since the last war, FNC mobilize its force and send it to aid its allied.

Player take the role of one of the FNC's best fighter pilot : Tiger 1 and is aided by female AWACS callsign "Dragon's Eye" (voice actress: Runrunpyon).

 

Even due to lack of game development experience, we cannot present much story in the game. All of our later game based on HyperSonic's world.

 

Gameplay

HyperSonic feature nearly the simplest gameplay in its genre. Even its a flight game, it have no real-world aircraft featured in it. Most player's activity is to lock and fire missiles to enemy while avoid incoming missile.

 

Sequel

There's two game in development that's successor to HyperSonic; "HyperSonic : Zero" take place in 2003 and "HyperSonic 2" that take place in 2020. Both game feature many select and unlockable real-world aircraft, wingman command system and improved scenery quality.

There's no fictional weapon nor aircraft in HS0. But there's some in HS2 due to its setting in near future.

 

HyperSonic Zero will be released for free in this December while HyperSonic2 will go on commercial in Febuary 2010.
